The fourth annual Prolific North Awards, which will take place on Thursday 28th April 2016, is to have a new host.
Justin Moorhouse, the comedian, actor, writer and radio presenter, will take over the mantle for the event at The Point, at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Our joint headline sponsors for what is by some distance the largest single creative industries awards outside London are Click Consult and dock10 for respectively for their third and second years in a row: Prolific North would like to acknowledge and thank these two companies for their continuing support.
An established favourite on the UK comedy circuit, Moorhouse is a well-known face thanks to his appearances on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights and Live at the Apollo.
He’s also a regular on BBC Radio 5 live, talkSPORT and Key 103, and is the writer and star of Radio 4 sitcom Everyone Quite Likes Justin.
Building on the huge success of this year’s event, the 2016 event is expected to be attended by over 700 of the North’s leading creative and media professionals.

The deadline for entries is Friday 19th February, with the shortlists announced in March.
We will be unveiling the finalised list of judges early in the new year.
