Global PR agency Grayling has bolstered its Northern team with the appointment of Sarah Gough as associate director in its Leeds office.

Reporting to head of Northern region Billy Partridge, Gough arrives from We Are Boutique, where she was head of earned media having founded the agency’s PR department in 2014.

The agency says it is taking advantage of increasing interest in the Northern Powerhouse with major inward investment into the region and increasing public policy influence across its major cities.

Gough will be looking to develop the Leeds office’s client base both locally and nationally, and will also manage a move to a new central Leeds office this summer.

She said: “I’m looking forward to working with the team to ensure another successful year securing brilliant exposure for clients. Coming from an integrated environment where collaboration is king, I’m especially looking forward to getting my teeth into the unrivalled network of connections that makes Grayling such a compelling consultancy.”

Billy Partridge, director and head of Northern region at Grayling UK, said: “Sarah brings considerable experience across a variety of sectors and I’m sure her insights coming from an integrated media business will benefit our clients. We are a data-driven agency and Sarah’s commitment to delivering commercial returns to clients certainly complements our approach.”
