We’re the only agency who has won an AURA award for Communication three times.

Producing communications which make a real impact, from our pitches and proposals to our client work, is more than an aspiration for us, it’s the way we work. We’re proud to win awards for our communications, but we never stop wanting to improve what we do, so we’re looking for an experienced designer and manager. This role is to cover the maternity leave of the existing role holder ensuring we continue to strengthen our creative capabilities and help inspire our team and clients even more.

We’re looking for someone with enough experience to lead our creative offer and continue to grow the strength of the offer. You’ll be the lead designer within the business so you’ll need confidence and enough experience to work with minimal guidance on projects, as well as being confident in dealing directly with clients and potentially managing junior staff.

We’re looking for someone who:

Is expert at working with researchers/clients to establish a brief and managing it from concept through to completion
Can work with data and other information to produce standout visual communication outputs (e.g. infographics, charts, presentations, hand-outs etc.) which both wow our clients and inspire and engage audiences
Has significant experience of graphic or information design and can design for print as well as screen
Can work with our teams at pitch stage and advise on possible creative solutions for potential projects
Works well under pressure, managing multiple projects at once and to deadlines
Is a great team player, with a positive attitude and a desire to constantly improve the work they do
Would enjoy supporting and mentoring our researchers to improve their visual communication skills
Has a 2.1 degree or equivalent in graphic design or a related area.

You’ll be able to show us a portfolio of your work, demonstrating a strong background in different types of information design, and showing us your flexibility and ability to adapt to different briefs and styles.

Our YouTube channel has some examples of recent videos we’ve produced, to give you a sense of what we do and how we do it.

You may have experience of the following: Data Visualiser, Data Visualizer, Infographics, Data Analysis & Visualisation, Certified designer, Graphic Designer, Information designer, Information Graphics, Visual Communication, Visual Designer, Visual Analytics.

So, if you’re creative, imaginative, and looking for a fresh start, you’ll fit right in and we’d love to talk. We’re looking for someone to start working with us in around August this year.

This is a maternity cover role, with a salary of £28,000 – £32,000 p/a depending on experience, plus bonus and pension.
