About the role

User Acceptance Testing (or UAT for short) is the final stage of the web development process. You’ll be working in a team whose sole responsibility is to ensure that our websites maintain the high standards that our customers have come to expect.

Working closely with designers, developers, project owners, project managers, optimisation teams, content writers, product specialists and analytic teams to ensure that every part of the puzzle is in place before we unleash new content and functionality onto our sites.

If you’re obsessed about great online customer experience – from a technical, functional and design point of view, then AO.com needs you!

Here’s what you can expect to be doing
• Understand and execute User Acceptance Testing for business, functional, technical & UI requirements across a range of projects and departments.
• Perform multi-device and browser User Acceptance Testing across multi-lingual sites.
• Document and execute UAT Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Scripts.
• Develop Regression Test Scripts based on potential impact of new functionality or changes.
• Effectively communicate issues and concerns to developers, designers, IT and other business areas.

A few things about you

We’re looking for a passionate individual who’s ready to make their mark in our fast-paced, dynamic, eCommerce Team and contribute to creating the very best experience for our customers.

You’ll be passionate about a great online experience, not only caring that something works as expected, but looks equally as awesome. Your written and verbal communication skills must be second to none – structured, clear, and tailored for a wide range of audiences.

You’ll be flexible enough to respond to changing requirements whilst working to strict deadlines. You’ll have an inquisitive, enthusiastic approach to work, never settling for second best and always willing to challenge the status quo.

You’ll have previous experience in a test or technical support environment. You’ll have an excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and defect resolution process.

Nice to have?

– Experience in automating test scripts.
– Knowledge of MV/AB testing practices.
