A vacancy has arisen for a Planner to fit into our Planning team. You will work on diverse clients with diverse needs, leveraging genuine consumer insight in order to create powerful, engaging and creative ideas.

You will be pragmatic, collaborative, open minded and be able to enthuse those around you. You’ll have your own personality but will be at home in the structure of a big agency. You’ll have a point of view, but not mind it being challenged. In short, you’ll be able to make a difference.

Ideally you will have experience of the B2C and some B2B sectors with good knowledge of Brand and Response thinking, techniques and practice. You will also be very familiar with all types of research and be able and willing to conduct your own focus groups and interviews as required. You will have experience of through the line campaigns.

On a day to day basis the role will include:

• Providing the creative team with clearly defined, inspiring briefs that contains the relevant information on the brand, the target audience, and the strategy to enable them to develop creative ideas.
• Understanding the value of creativity in marketing communications and be a key champion for its use on the accounts.
• Working on key accounts within the business to develop future creative / comms / marketing strategy.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of analytical methods and processes with the ability to identify, develop and activate insights from different data sets.
• Conduct focus groups and interviews with various respondents.
• Work with B2B and B2C clients and projects.
• Be familiar with and comfortable with handling branding projects.
• Bringing consumer insight and research interpretation to communication planning.
• Identifying the audience for a campaign and the optimum method of communication.
• Monitoring cultural and social trends and their impact on consumers’ attitudes, behaviour and perceptions.
• Recommending and commissioning research to inform the campaign strategy and develop clients’ advertising & marketing plans.
• Working closely with the Business Development team to develop pitch strategies.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• The ability to think creatively, and facilitate creative thinking in others
• An expert level understanding of branding, business processes, research and strategic planning
• Experience of strategic thinking with a strong business background, the ability to see the big picture whilst still paying attention to detail
• The ability to grow and expand client relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong client leadership skills – able to connect with clients and inspire their confidence and ongoing commitment
