We’re an award winning PR agency in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, looking for an enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of SEO Manager/SEO Director/Head of SEO (dependant on experience) to run the department and report directly to the agency director. You’ll have the opportunity to work with an international client base including international appliance brand Bosch and really take charge of online campaigns and the direction SEO takes for our clients.

The right candidate must be a self-starting individual, with the ability and skills to work independently. You must have a proven background in SEO, a sound technical SEO knowledge base and passion for the SEO industry, and you are committed to keeping up to date with industry news, trends and best practices. If you have experience of Social media strategy and affiliate marketing, and understand how different digital mediums affect SEO as well, we’d love to hear from you.

You will work alongside the agency’s in-house team of ex journalists, bloggers and trained copy writers to help create natural and engaging content, which you will harvest to help maximise SEO strategies. You should be happy to work with clients web development teams to ensure sites are optimised for SEO to maximum potential.

Main responsibilities will include:

SEO strategy and planning
Technical SEO analysis and on-page optimisation
Off-site strategies and implementation
Keyword research
Running full SEO campaigns
Managing blogger outreach programs
Maintaining client relationships and attending client meetings
Producing client reports
Producing new business proposals

Required skills:
Thorough understanding and confident administration of SEO – technical on-page, content and off-page
Knowledge of other marketing activities that impact SEO performance
Strong organisational and time-keeping skills
Strong written and communication skills (inc. telephone manner)
Great client management skills
Strong research and analysis skills
Great Microsoft Excel skills
Happy to look at code and demonstrate a good knowledge of understanding how it works and affects SEO
Happy to make basic edits to clients website through different CMS systems
Experience with Google Analytics / web analytics packages and SEO tools (AWR, Screaming Frog, Majestic etc)

Additional desirable skills

Good working knowledge of social media strategy and analysis
PPC strategy, planning, Account creation and management
Advert Testing and Optimisation
Remarketing and Affiliate Program Management
Collaboratively working with the online marketing team
Knowledge of Google Adwords and Microsoft Adcenter platforms
Working knowledge of Google Adwords Editor
Conversion Rate Optimisation experience
Experience of working with fashion and beauty clients
Wordpress savvy
Excellent people management skills
