Senior Search Marketing Executive

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree level qualification
• Fluent in English both spoken & written
• A passion for search marketing
• Experience gained in a search agency or digital marketing agency
• At least 2 years’ experience in Search Marketing
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in using Google Analytics
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated
• Work well under pressure and to deadlines
• Be reliable, dedicated and work to task
• Experience in dealing with clients and agencies
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and content management systems


• Relevant marketing degree
• Fluency in other European languages
• Understanding of web development

Key responsibilities:

• Devising and creating client or new business proposals including target KPIs
• Presenting to clients or new business opportunities
• Implementing SEO strategies, monitoring and reviewing
• Conducting keyword research
• Carrying out on-site optimisation audits, providing recommendations and implementation
• Keeping up-to-date with best practice in the search marketing industry
• Sharing search marketing & analysis knowledge and learnings with colleagues
• Proposing new or improved ways of carrying out search activities as required (which includes use of existing & new software)
• Investigating/proposing new software as required
• Carrying out advanced analysis on client performance in Google Analytics & other software
• Remaining Google Analytics certified
• Keeping up to date with Google Analytics platform & new features
• Carrying out market and competitor research and analysis regularly to inform strategy
• Devising and executing content marketing strategies
• Leading & inputting into digital marketing workshops
• Devising, develop & execute search campaigns
• Creating and managing regular and ad-hoc reporting
• Reviewing client performance daily in Google Analytics & other relevant search software as required
• Measuring and analysing a client’s search performance using various analytics software
• Delivering search performance against set KPIs
• Attending client and/or inter-agency meetings in UK and Europe, face to face, phone or via Skype
• Liaising with the technical departments (internal/external) ensuring SEO recommendations are implemented
• Developing and maintaining client relationships together with Account Managers to grow the accounts
