Job Specification

If you’re looking to join an ambitious, fast-paced agency and share experience on all sorts of projects, this is a great career opportunity. The successful applicant will take a leading role within the Digital Team, creating and building great websites/apps for a diverse range of well-known brands. You’ll work with our strong in-house creative and film departments and will need to be enthusiastic, focused and passionate about new technology. You’ll take responsibility for projects and will be brilliant at nurturing talent and sharing your digital skills with other members of the team.

Essentials:

A web developer with strong and successful technical experience with 4-5 years of experience
Proven record of executing visually engaging designs that are appealing, on-message and inspire users to take action
Good understanding of UX techniques and accessibility best practice
Proven experience of performing all technical aspects of a front end build
Highly proficient in building websites using HTML, CSS, and jQuery
Proven experience of building responsive websites and a mobile first approach
Experience of writing extended CSS coding languages such as SASS
Experience of working with web developers
Experience of SVN and management of version control
Desire and willingness to embrace new emerging technologies
Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
In-depth knowledge of current coding techniques and best practices
Excellent level of communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to be comfortable and confident in client meetings
A flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a team
Proactive and positive approach towards solving problems
Experience of handling working to tight deadlines
Participation in design discovery sessions and engagement in strategic conversations about our clients brands and objectives

Desirables:

Educated to Degree standard (or equivalent)
Knowledge of SEO, form tracking and split test approaches
Experience of guiding other team members and helping them develop their skills

Location – Preston

Status – Full time, permanent

Working hours – Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.30pm (1 hour for lunch)
