We are seeking to recruit a member of our clients editorial team. A fantastic opportunity to join a well established company who are experts in their industry. The prospective candidate would ideally have a good command of written English and an ability to collate and analyse data and market news. Good familiarity with Microsoft Office products is essential. The role on offer would be to provide full support to the current editor and assist in the direction of the editorial team. The job would entail written and oral communication with an international clientele and there would be a possibility of participation in international events.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with various stakeholders including writers, designers and project managers
• Working closely with writers on the editing of tables, statistics and graphs
• Taking the lead on a number of key projects for the business
• Launching smart and creative editorial initiatives
• Managing an editorial content calendar and deadlines
• Editing materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, consistency, flow, accuracy and clarity
• Provide layout, formatting and graphics recommendations
• Being part of the decision making for the editorial process
• Building networks with key industry contacts across the globe, sharing information and conducting market research

Key Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to copyedit, proofread, and fact check
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Happy to collaborate with colleagues in order to achieve the best possible results
• A 2nd language would be highly beneficial – particularly Chinese
• Degree level or qualified by experience
• A fresh/creative approach
