Agent Academy is the brainchild of Agent Marketing; a values-led organisation which is dedicated to developing talent and keeping it in the region. As such, Agent Academy is funded by Agent Marketing to provide people who can’t afford expensive tuition fees or those who leave university without commercial experience the opportunity to develop skills, learn from business leaders and enter the world of work better prepared.

Agent Academy is a 12 week interactive learning programme that combines theory-based learning with hands-on commercial marketing practice.

The programme provides specially-selected students with the opportunity to combine hands-on experience with action-based learning. The 12 week programme (24 days in total) educates students on the fundamentals of marketing and introduces them to influential leaders from different sectors, industries and backgrounds. Students also visit key organisations from across the wider city region to aid their development and to expand their professional networks.

We want our new team member to possess tremendous skill, passion, commitment and drive. We’re looking for a talented individual who can demonstrate confidence in communication, be creative, who has excellent marketing skills and relate to young people who are just starting their marketing careers.

What you’ll be doing in this role
 Facilitation – deliver workshops, aid project work and take young people on external visits.

 Partner engagement – engage with potential speakers and expert witness whilst building superb relationships.

 Communications – promoting Agent Academy to both young people (for applications) and organisations (for support; speaking, hosting & funding).

 Programme recruitment – recruit young people through an online application form and interview process.

 Curriculum development – create and plan the learning programme content from workshops, seminars to external visits.

 Programme management – ensure the day to day operations of Agent Academy are spot on.

 Internal communication – clear and constant communication with the Agent Marketing team.

 Mentoring – ensure the progression of the young people is on track and be the go to person for any of their needs and issues.

 Market monitoring – monitor relevant markets, industries and media daily to ensure awareness and understanding of issues that will affect Agent Academy.

 Funding – research, design and write funding bids to support the programmes.

 Reporting – monitor and evaluate each programme and continue communication with the young people after their time on the programme.
You’ll need to have

 A strong set of personal and professional values.

 A real passion for marketing and communications and a desire to work with young people.

 An understanding of the social enterprise sector.

 An ability to work as part of our strong team, enhancing our culture.

 Degree level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a business, marketing or communications-related subject.

 At least two years solid experience working in the field of marketing and communications/training and development.

 Experience and knowledge of applying for and writing successful bids.

 Experience working with websites, including creating content for the web and producing analytics reports.

 Experience working with e-communications, including preparing and sending e-bulletins.

 Ability to project manage, prioritise and deliver against often tight deadlines.

 Confidence to represent Agent Academy externally including public speaking and delivering training, as necessary.

 A strong attention to detail and the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

 An ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

 Established network of contacts across various sectors and industries.

 Excellent administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel).

The salary for this role is between £19,000 – £24,000 dependent on experience and ability.
