PR Marketing and New Business Manager (Jaywing)

We’re looking for a proactive, independent self-starter to join us at Jaywing PR as our Marketing and New Business Manager.

You’ll be an integral part of one of the biggest PR agencies in the north, identifying opportunities to fuel new business as well as grow our client accounts.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing marketing campaigns, with strong copywriting and content creation skills for B2B audiences. You’ll be a strong communicator, both with internal teams and external stakeholders

You’ll be required to:

  • Create and brief compelling, high-quality content for case studies, blog posts, credentials, and sales support materials
  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with key contacts across the business and across relevant sectors outside the business
  • Be the ‘go-to’ person for information and content regarding our various specialisms and the client projects we have delivered
  • Identify and co-ordinate Jaywing PR’s presence at key industry events, making new connections and positioning Jaywing PR as the go-to agency for PR
  • Work closely with the Jaywing PR team to develop marketing campaigns and social media plans that target key publications, and position us as experts in our field
  • Identify opportunities for award submissions for successful client campaigns and champion the Jaywing PR brand across all communications
  • Create design and content briefs for the studio for sales and marketing materials
  • Be confident in the creation of new client contracts with the support of the Jaywing PR Operations Director
  • Understand the Jaywing PR and Epiphany offering in detail and identify opportunities to sell our services to potential clients in the right way
  • Know our current client contracts in enough detail to be able to support the Jaywing PR Account Directors on suggesting new opportunities, identify target sectors and provide recommendations on approach
  • Support in the effective production of new business creds slides and presentations (which clearly demonstrate how we would work to hit business objectives) with the support of the wider team where necessary
  • Evaluate competitor activity and market analysis to help position Jaywing PR as a market leader
  • Proactively identify prospects and work with the Operations Director to target them via the appropriate channels
  • Where appropriate contribute and support the Epiphany and wider Jaywing marketing teams
  • Support the Operations Director with forthcoming commercial plans

Skills needed:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of creating and managing content for both online and offline mediums
  • Ability to manage your own workload, handling multiple projects at once, making decisions independently and prioritising
  • A proven record of achieving targets and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Outstanding people skills with the ability to negotiate and influence to get results
  • Ambitious and driven, with a can-do attitude
