Contract Type:

Do you have a passion for luxury goods from both a graphic and product design prospective?

My client is an established company providing innovative presentation packaging solutions for the luxury end of the market. Effectively working with some of the worlds biggest brands in the drinks, cosmetics, fragrance and gift sectors. This involves effectively applying graphics with the use of luxury materials such as leather, silk and precious metals, to create beautifully crafted, bespoke packaging. Offices within reach of Leeds, Bradford and further afield.

Due to an increase of work and further company ambition, they are now looking for a Creative with who has the foresight and imagination to create such prestigious pieces. Working within an existing studio team of graphic designers, artworkers, 3D visualisers and structural packaging engineers.

Somebody who can visualise in 3D, able to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas that capture the imagination of both their clients and consumers alike. Remember some of these items retail for four and five figures sums so they need to look worth their value.

You may be a graphic designer or product designer by trade or education. Somebody passionate about this type of packaging and is bubbling over with the endless enthusiasm and possibilities. Able to identify and implement both structural and graphic designs where even the most subtle change can make a huge difference. Don’t worry, you wont need to be concerned by the technical workability of your designs, as these skill sets are already covered by your colleagues.

This role will also include client interaction, which may mean external client visits, some occasionally in Europe. Therefore great communication and presentation skills and the flexibility to be away for 1 or 2 days would be beneficial too.

Your starting point will be your Mac desk top, surrounded by your Adobe software tools and any other relevant extras such as 3D applications. Illustrator and Photoshop are a must at the very least, with Autocad and Solidworks / any other 3D packages advantageous. An ability to help out on the artworking side from time to time would also be very useful, although this role is definitely a creative one.

This truly is a fab chance to get involved with some very interesting projects at the top end of the market and as importantly, make you mark.
