Ear to the Ground works with ambitious brands and rights holders to help them get more from their sport and music assets.

We are looking for a full time (5 days a week) New Business Manager to join our business development team.

Reporting into the Business Development Director, this exciting and fast-paced position will be responsible for driving lead generation for the agency and developing an in-depth knowledge of our work and expertise.

There are plenty of opportunities to work with some amazing brands and be part of a vibrant, outgoing team.

Our mission is to understand why ‘fans’ behave so differently to ‘consumers’. This drives our creative process and enables us to produce activations and campaigns which enable our clients to generate more engagement, awareness, sales, advocacy and, ultimately, unlock the true value of investments in sport, music and entertainment.

* Be at the forefront of driving new business leads for the agency by activating new business lead generation and outreach programmes

* Support the Business Development Director in delivering prospecting plans and growing the pipeline

* Administration: Manage Workbook (new business database), pipeline report, prospecting status report and other reporting tools as and when needed


* Good business sense

* An understanding of the world of sport and entertainment sponsorship

* Flexible, ‘can do’ attitude

* To be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team

* A great telephone manner

* Excellent organisational and time-management skills

* A positive attitude

* Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness

* Initiative and enterprise

* Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information

* To enjoy networking and meeting new people


* You’ll need to have experience of working in a marketing agency, with demonstrable commercial experience in business development or new business.

* Someone who has an active interest in sport

* A proven track record in working with multiple stakeholders, with excellent communication skills

* Well-organised and someone who makes things happen and likes to be accountable

* Confidence to be able to deal with the most senior level clients and internal talent

* A high energy, positive, can-do person who is always looking for ways to improve what we do

* Happy to work autonomously on some tasks as well as within a team
