We are looking for a Marketing Manager to head-up our digital, physical and event marketing services. You will need to deliver an effective and creative marketing strategy, encompassing the Leeds Dock website, email, social media and both on-site and external advertising campaigns.

You must have experience with creating and delivering a comprehensive marketing strategy, social media on a business level, content management systems and content creation for e-marketing campaigns. You must be able to think strategically and understand how digital marketing fits into a business’ marketing strategy. You must be able to measure and document the impact of these channels using platforms such as Google Analytics, MailChimp and Sprout Social, suggesting follow-up actions to increase impact.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities / Skills

• Creating and delivering annual comprehensive marketing strategies for Leeds Dock;
• Creating and delivering social media and online marketing strategies;
• Setting and managing budgets both annually and per event;
• Update & manage social media profiles & pages when necessary (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.);
• Expand base of users to follow/friend/like our pages;
• Writing and posting creative social media content when necessary;
• Live social media at events;
• Managing MailChimp lists and creating templates;
• Creating and delivering e-marketing campaigns;
• Updating websites with news, events and promotions;
• Creating and managing Google AdWords campaigns;
• Reporting on social media, websites, e-marketing and PPC;
• Consistently learn and grow, ask pertinent questions;
• Photoshop/InDesign and video editing skills are a bonus;
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong copywriting and editing skills;
• Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through digital marketing;
• Ability to work closely with, and manage when necessary, a chosen external PR company;
• Creative flair with an eye for design;
• Work closely with Leeds Dock place-making and management team;
• Work closely with Leeds Dock’s tenants;
• Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.;
• Experience of CMS, such as WordPress;
• Experience of Google Analytics and Google AdWords;
• Experience of CRM systems, such as MailChimp;
• Willingness to create video blogs, press releases and news stories;
• Experience of proofreading and editing;
• Ability to deal with uncertainty;
• Ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams;
• Knowledge of digital media software, such as Photoshop or InDesign, preferred; and
• Knowledge of HTML preferred.

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Marketing Management role;
• Good knowledge of creating and delivering comprehensive marketing strategies;
• Experienced in Social media marketing;
• Fantastic creative writing skills;
• Ability to manage a team of people on site;
• Confident communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal);
• Good administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel);
• Creativity and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines;
• Excellent team player;
• Proficient in working in a fast paced environment;
• A pro-active and can-do attitude, even when working under pressure; and
• Energetic, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas about how to grow and position Leeds Dock both nationally and locally.
