We have a team of skilled Developers in-house, as well as Testers and we are looking to expand our team further, we’re seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support and work closely alongside our DevOps Manager.

This is a new role within LYNX and you will be working closely with our DevOps Manager, our Software Engineering team and our existing I.T. Support team; in order to support in the management and monitoring of new and existing I.T. architecture. The successful applicant for this role is likely to be either a recent Graduate who possesses a high classification in a Computer Science degree, or they will have some form of commercial experience in a similar role. For example, you may have demonstrable systems operations exposure, or you may have worked in a software engineering environment previously. Although you’re not expected to be fully proficient in coding, an awareness of scripting and development processes; the agile methodology in particular, would also be advantageous.

We operate across both Linux and Microsoft, therefore if you have experience of these environments it would be ideal, although you can expect to learn more about this on-the-job. Within this role, your responsibilities will see you support in the following areas:
• The monitoring of software
• The setting up of web servers
• Project deployments
• Ensuring security features are appropriate and in use for all projects

The above are examples of typical tasks, this list is not exhaustive and there will be plenty of areas where you will be able to learn from others, whilst also taking responsibility for significant portions of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity and we are seeking applications from candidates who have a proactive, driven outlook. You should be a keen learner, self- motivated and ready for a responsible role. Personality really is key and we’re looking for a team player who can demonstrate excellent initiative, who is proactive in sharing their ideas, who is solutions focused and remains calm under pressure. In return, you’ll find that HAVAS LYNX is an open and forward thinking business. We’re based in the heart of Manchester City Centre and we enjoy a friendly, informal working environment where you can expect to work with an award winning team on pioneering digital innovation. We offer plentiful opportunities for career progression and we’re proud to offer our exciting internal training programme to all employees – you can view more information about #LX Academy on the blog area of our website
