Established in 2000, Early Excellence is a national leader of pedagogy, provision and practice, specialising in young childrens education. Every day we champion the development of inspirational learning and teaching, offering expert advice, support and training to schools and settings across the UK. We help schools and early years settings to understand and respond to the ever changing landscape of education policy and keep a sharp focus on the leadership of quality provision.
Early Excellence offers a full range of solutions from our training centres in Huddersfield and London, through national events, and through providing specialist equipment such as storage products, furniture, indoor and outdoor products and literature. We also offer complete classroom sets and design services.
As part of the senior management team within the business, and reporting to the MD / owner, this role has a wide remit and is pivotal in our future growth ambitions. Your key responsibilities will include;
Having a thorough commercial understanding of the companys business needs in order to support the sales targets through effective marketing strategies
Developing a strong, proven marketing strategy with a clear implementation plan that supports communication and sales of all aspects of the business, across all channels (i.e. print, film, online, digital, social media, events and PR)
Leading the implementation of all aspects of the marketing plans, guiding and overseeing the day to day activities of the marketing team and agency support
Continuously review the impact of the marketing strategy, tracking results in order to adapt and improve
Understanding and becoming the voice of Early Excellence and safeguarding the companys professional reputation and image
Understanding the mind-set and professional needs to the education sector and client base in order to effectively target new customers
Your Background and Skills
You will be an experienced marketer with a strong background in product marketing as well as experience of working within a professional, service driven brand. Ideally you will have had a high level of exposure to e-commerce, and you will have a demonstrable track record of delivering successful campaigns that have resulted in sales growth. As a small business, it is essential that you have an entrepreneurial mindset and that you have high commercial awareness and an ability to spot new opportunities for growth.
