Creative Concern is hiring a Head of Digital to join our thirty strong team. We are a leading ethical, creative agency who believe that good communications makes great things happen. Our Head of Digital will lead the digital function of the company and ensure our web and digital services are delivered profitably and to a high standard of quality and creativity. The job role includes generating new business, managing the delivery of complex website projects and directly line managing a small team of developers. You will be working on a broad range of exciting web and digital projects with a focus on social and environmental issues.

The role

Creative Concern is looking to recruit a Head of Digital to lead the digital function of the company and to ensure digital services are delivered profitably and to a high standard of quality and creativity.

The Head of Digital will report to the Managing Director and will work with the senior team on a day to day basis, as well as working to support account managers and designers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

The head of digital at Creative Concern is responsible for:

• Line management of the digital team (currently 2 developers, although this is expected to grow in the future).

• Generating new business for the digital service either by leading on digital tenders or supporting the account managers / business support manager with new business acquisition.

• Developing and enhancing the digital skills of Creative Concern by supporting the development of the individual team members and advising on areas of skills development for the company as a whole.

• Co-ordinating the workload for the digital team by scheduling development work, web maintenance work and other digital work that requires the resources of the digital team.

• Overseeing the IT support for Creative Concern and ensuring we have the IT infrastructure needed to run the business effectively.

• Managing digital freelance support when required such as external website developers and IT support.

• Ensuring our website hosting and maintenance contracts for our clients run efficiently and profitably.

• Manage website development contracts/accounts directly as and when required – this is likely to be between two and three days a week of the role.
