We are looking for an experienced Experienced SEO Project / Account Manager to come join the team within our award-winning and expanding digital agency based in Altrincham, South Manchester.

You should have at least 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role with an understanding of modern search engine optimisation techniques, including on-page technical expertise as well as off-page optimisation knowledge. alongside an awareness of the techniques used in a paid search or social media advertising campaign.

In addition to the requisite technical expertise, you will also need to have demonstrable experience in client account management including organising and managing campaigns, client handling, reporting, face-to-face meetings plus the ability to manage projects and internal teams.

You will have a passion for all things digital marketing related and be willing to enhance your own knowledge by keeping up with the latest industry developments.

Role And Responsibilities

Your role will be to effectively manage a small portfolio of large clients, overseeing successful campaigns and ensuring the work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Your main tasks will include (but are not limited to)..

Liaising with the client by email, phone and face to face on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Project managing internal teams to ensure work has been allocated correctly, is delivered on time and is done to the required standard
Be hands on with aspects of campaign delivery including link research, disavow management, on-page technical analysis and report creation
Looking for new campaign opportunities for growth and conducting regular proactive SEO reviews
Keeping the client abreast of the development of their campaign in a timely manner including weekly calls and email updates
Using software including Kerboo, Search console, Google docs, Excel, SEMrush, Majestic, Ahrefs, Moz, Buzzstream
Creating monthly client reports and analysing data in order to make informed decisions about how best to improve the campaign
Any other ad-hoc tasks which assist with the successful delivery of a campaign

Knowledge/Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of modern SEO techniques and algorithm history
Have a basic understanding of coding, HTML, CSS and WordPress
Be adept at using Google Analytics, Moz, Ahrefs, Majestic, Search Console
Knowing a good link from a bad link with justification for your assessment
Basic understanding of adwords plus paid social channels
Understanding of link penalties, recoveries and monitoring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines and manage/prioritise workload across the week / month
Knowledge of recent search engine developments and changes
Sense of humour

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running and be able to demonstrate a high level of self-management, independence and initiative.
