Our Events & Partnerships Manager will work closely with a team of experts supporting production, partnerships and Marketing. You will lead on the planning and hosting of key events for pioneering programmes including our ERDF Pro-Connect programmes which support the Film & TV industry across Greater Manchester & Herts.

Managing a network of contacts across Film & TV you will build our partnerships with industry including regional crew and facility businesses. You will support and promote filming in England, working strategically with production heads, public and private organisations.

Our Events & Partnerships Manager will seek partnerships with businesses as potential sponsors for regional and national events. You will have the opportunity to support our service to production through liaising with industry clients seeking to film in the English regions, and with all relevant public and private services to ensure productions can progress effectively. Through continuous work with industry this role will seek opportunities to champion Creative England’s wider support and promotional work. The ideal candidate will have a strong events management background, established contacts and experience working within the creative industries.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To provide a direct partnerships service to the film and TV industry aimed to increase filming in the regions and explore opportunities for Creative England’s wider investment and promotional work.

Lead on the delivery of relevant ERDF programmes (ProConnect) in collaboration with the Head of Partnerships and the wider team.

Be a point of contact for talent and businesses across the creative industries; building partnerships with regional private businesses and individuals working in the film, TV and wider creative industries.

Building Partnerships with businesses you will have the ability to monetize/ secure sponsors for regional and national events; working closely with the marketing team on Creative England branded events.

Work closely with the Partnerships Project Coordinator to develop and maintain the national crew and facilities database.

Management of networks through the promotion of job opportunities and knowledge sharing where appropriate; signposting to other organisations and partners as/when required e.g. regional film productions, careers/ skills advice.

Establish and deliver new opportunities for Creative England by building effective relationships at a national level, working with other departments to ensure that clients get a consistent first class service across the board.

Work closely with the wider team to ensure promotion of the English regions’ image is clear and concise, helping to ensure that companies are able to make best use of Creative England’s services.

Collate stats and feedback where required to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the service.

Ensure Creative England meets all its statutory requirements in relation to the Data Protection Act and respond to all Freedom of Information requests related to the service.

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES & QUALITIES
We are looking for an organised industry events professional with the drive to forge new partnerships, a passion for new opportunities and collaboration.

Essential
Demonstrable experience in events management; including sponsorship.
Knowledge and understanding of the creative sector, particularly Film & TV.
Experience liaising with Film/ TV contacts in England.
Database/ client management experience.
Ability to build relationships and forge partnerships.

Desirable
Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
