Job Description

We are looking for a digital savvy Production Director to work on the digital side of a large retail account. Ideally you will have worked in a digital agency or on purely digital accounts within an integrated agency before. You’ll have a passion for all things digital, the experience to back that up and the ability to turn your passion and experience into actionable ideas.

This is a wide ranging digital role but with an emphasis on digital marketing production as opposed to SEO, Social Media campaigns etc. Your primary focus will be on accurate delivery of a wide variety of email campaigns, display advertising, landing pages, social media ads and occasional website design and build projects. You will have a drive for managing effective processes with an emphasis on QA.

On a day to day basis you’ll be talking to the client, directing and managing a team of digital production project managers, working with digital and content specialists and adding the digital element to all our integrated campaigns. You’ll be responsible for the initial sight of all BAU production briefs and liaise with the Senior Account Director and their account handing team on all new project or campaign briefs.

You will be comfortable with a fast paced retail account where you will be responsible for the ‘triage’ of all types of brief, to allocate as appropriate within the core digital team (PM’s, creative, studio production and dev) as well as wider agency teams.

You will also be writing or informing proposals, managing budgets and overseeing delivery (with support for the digital studio manager). You should be comfortable working at both a strategic level or rolling your sleeves up as and when the need arises.

Reporting into our Senior Account Director, your role will involve:

• Overseeing the design and development of banner, email creation, landing page (and occasional microsites, mobile apps and video or motion graphics content assets) ensuring the delivery team meet the often tight deadlines and have a focus on quality in delivery.
• Working with the Senior Account Director on longer term strategic plans / projects.
• You will be conversant with digital assets and content (both ‘BAU” as well as innovative) in all its forms and will assist in the planning of campaigns, with the support of the delivery team to generate ideas that will really push the digital agenda.
• Being the font of all knowledge on day-to-day digital queries, ensuring you keep up-to-date with digital innovation in order to have a point of view.
• Mentoring and developing the delivery team.

To be successful you’ll need significant knowledge and genuine passion for digital communications. Given the nature of the client, retail experience would be distinct advantage. In addition, you’ll need excellent people management, communication and organisational skills. Since it’s a retail client, the volume is high and the pace is fast – a challenge you’ll relish!
