Business Growth Hub’s Digital Growth service is tasked with supporting Greater Manchester’s SME’s with proactive advice and guidance on the use of digital technologies to innovate and help their businesses grow. This support is delivered on 1-2-1 basis through a team of specialist digital advisors and through a programme of 1-2-many digital workshops, masterclasses and events. Working in our central Manchester office, this position will support the Digital Growth Manager in the delivery of the overall Digital Events’ Programme.

As the Digital Events’ Coordinator you will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of the Digital Growth Events’ programme. A recent tender created a roster of third party experts who deliver the content of workshops and masterclasses. The Digital Events’ Coordinator is responsible for the management of the courses and takes the lead in the relationships with the third party providers. In addition to the masterclasses and workshops which run on a weekly basis, the Digital Events’ Coordinator is responsible for the planning and preparation of a number of exhibitions/conferences. This is a fast paced and busy role requiring someone with an intelligent approach, excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail, a focus on the customers’ total event journey and the ability to drive a number of projects simultaneously.

An understanding of the principles of digital marketing and the digital landscape of Manchester would be an advantage, as is a willingness to learn and grow your wider digital knowledge.

You will also be required to build relationships with existing entrepreneur networks, partners and local authorities to raise awareness of the programme and to ensure the highest level of engagement across the Greater Manchester region as well as work with our in-house marketing and events team to develop a fully integrated offer to ensure the delivery and required impacts of the contract are achieved.

The successful applicant will have great communication skills, a professional and courteous manner along with confidence in both working and communicating with people and management at all levels. They must demonstrate the ability to multi task and be a very flexible worker who can juggle numerous projects, sometimes completing tasks within a short turnaround period. They must be IT literate, have a keen interest in digital technologies and be able to use CRM systems & Microsoft Office applications.
