Position: Digital Communications Officer
Location: West Didsbury, Manchester, Lancashire
Salary: Circa £26k per annum

About the Role:
The Digital Communications Officer will support delivery of the group’s communications strategy. Within the role you will be working on a range of innovative and creative external and internal communications initiatives throughout Great Places and its commercial subsidiary Plumlife, with a strong emphasis on digital communications.
You will be co-ordinating clear messages within the organisation at all levels and with stakeholders, and ensuring that communications and marketing tools are effective. You will also ensure innovative and effective digital communications for internal and external stakeholders.
In addition you will manage their social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter and update and evolve the Great Places and Plumlife websites and intranet. You will write and design resident and staff newsletters and communication, both digital and printed, and lead on producing videos and photography to support the key messages.
Furthermore you will design and develop leaflets, posters, brochures and other promotional literature, identifying key messages to help devise and deliver creative and effective communications on a range of campaigns and events to promote new initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience of delivering digital communications, using social media for business and managing content for websites. With experience of designing printed and digital communication materials, for example brochures / magazines you will have basic copy writing skills and excellent design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign on a Mac.
In addition you will have experience with email marketing and video editing software, such as iMovie / Premier Pro. With an excellent knowledge of social media, you will be able to work with staff at all levels and manage projects.
Ideally you will have experience with media relations and organising events. The use of content management systems (Sitefinity / SharePoint) and a Communications or Design qualification would also be beneficial.
Technical web design skills and the use of Google Analytics is desirable, as is knowledge of housing organisations and / or the not-for-profit sector. A full driving licence and use of car for work would also be advantageous.
