We’re Culture & Trends, a team of 8 foresight specialists. We work alongside our primary researchers to help our clients profit from the future via horizon-scanning, reading, listening to our ongoing research communities, visiting conferences and events, interviewing experts, working with our global network of trend spotters and a whole lot of thinking and workshopping with clients. We’re excited by real people, their cultural context and their changing needs. We go beyond macro trends and the latest innovations to connect trend indicators up at a human, actionable level. What does Join the Dots do?

As an innovative, award-winning consumer insight agency, we help you make better business decisions through a deep understanding of people. Wherever you are, we join the dots between your business needs, the best primary research approaches and our in-depth understanding of the consumer world.

What will you be doing?

Essentially, you’ll head up a small team of Culture and Trends specialists working alongside primary researchers and clients to confidently apply consumer trends and cultural insights to research briefs.

You’ll also:

• Share knowledge and deliver training to our researchers, Sales & Marketing team and clients, to keep them on top of the changing consumer world and demonstrate our culture and trends credentials.
• Keep the Join the Dots consumer trends model up to date by identifying emerging consumer trends and innovations;
• Independently source, distil and analyse relevant secondary research from a wide range of sources to generate fresh insights and add value beyond the primary research;
• Conduct interviews with sector experts, leading edge consumers and local market guides, drawing out key insights and connecting up with wider trends;
• Present at client meetings, conferences and JtD seminars and write trends articles for marketing;
It would be great if you had:
• Experience in marketing, insights, trend or futures research, strategic brand planning or consulting, or other creative thinking or strategic delivery industries;
• A genuine passion for people, cultures, brands and consumer trends;
• The ability to combine secondary and primary research findings to develop fresh insights and strategic recommendations;
• Experience managing others;
• A commercial outlook;
