Wigan and Leigh Housing is an Arms Length Management Organisation established in April 2002. We manage some 23,000 homes in Wigan and Leigh on behalf of Wigan Council.

A new opportunity has arisen to help improve the Company’s internal communication strategy and processes and day to day communications with tenants.

In this key role you will contribute to providing an effective wide range of communication activities and projects and help to refresh the Company’s Communications Strategy.

You will act as the Company’s lead in improving day to day communications and liaison events with tenants and other stakeholders.

This post is an ideal opportunity for someone who has either gained experience working in a communications or marketing role or has graduated in communication and can demonstrate they meet all other essential requirements of the post.

Experience of writing articles, reports and publications, in addition to contributing in the development and delivery of communication campaigns is essential.

You must have the ability to work independently, prioritise a workload and work within set deadlines. The ability to use communication packages such as Instagram, Twitter, Publisher, Pinterest and Facebook along with the ability to train and guide employees on a range of communication issues is also essential.

As this post is casual car user, a current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

This post will require the postholder to work from home and an office base.

The hours of work for full time posts are 37 hours.

Salary: £22,443 – £23,945 per annum
