MediaCom is looking for a brilliant Business Director to join the Client Planning department in our Leeds Office. The Business Director is one of the most critical roles in the agency – a leadership role that acts as the lynchpin for the agency on many of our clients; ensuring our clients are happy and our talent is developing.

You will lead a business group of clients, reporting into the Board Director for the department. You will be responsible for leading all planning through to commercial outputs and measurements, due to the nature of our business a background in all aspects of Online Communications and Data/Measurement is a key requirement to be successful in this role.

We’re looking for a Business Director who will make the ordinary extraordinary. Someone who is as comfortable with getting what makes people and clients tick as they are with numbers and business acumen.

What you will need

• You will need to have experience working within a Media Agency to be considered for this role- currently or previously
• A thorough understanding of digital marketing and media
• An experience of interpreting data and understanding measurement systems
• Strong business acumen and commercial skills
• The ability to lead a team and talent map
• An ambition and tenacity to make the ordinary extraordinary
• An ability to spot the real issue behind the brief – knowing how the challenge the client to understand what they really need.
• Business consultative skills and language to allow you to diagnose what a client needs and communicate in an effective way
• The vision and focus to help create and design solutions for our clients as part of our data led planning proposition
• An ability to diagnose and understand business challenges and how comms can make a difference across a client’s business
• The ability to pull together specialists and people in a collaborative way to drive the best thinking and results for our clients
