Business Development Manager, Harrogate
20,000-25,000 plus commission

Full service marketing agency based in Harrogate, my client is currently looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to help achieve the next step in their growth plans. Working across a range of industries, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for reaching out to potential clients, introducing the business and setting appointments with the senior team. You will look to identify opportunities through a number of methods, be it over the phone, attending exhibitions / networking events, and keeping abreast of industry developments in order to put yourself in the right place at the right time.

This isn’t a hard sales role, but is based on building strong industry relationships with relevant decision makers, so that when they’re looking for a service you’ll be front of mind. You will need a good overview of all the services offered by the company, and be able to talk confidently about what value you could bring. Although industry knowledge is important, you’ll have the full support of an experienced team behind you, and you wont be expected to pitch for business on your own!

This role would be ideal for someone who has experience of selling a creative / agency service, is confident over the phone and meeting people face to face. You will be target driven and have a desire to earn commission on top of a basic salary. You’ll also have the opportunity to be a hugely important member of the team longer term, where your success will be recognised and rewarded – you will be a key driver in the growth of the business.
