We are currently recruiting for Award winning, Manchester based agency that is looking to expand their growing team with the appointment of two new people. They are looking for candidates at a PR Junior Account Manager to Account Manager level.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to work on client accounts that cover important issues and make a difference to society and the world we live in.

The agency is a commercial ‘for profit’ company and make no apology about that, it is a fast paced environment where everyone works hard to achieve the best for their clients. The clients and campaigns tend to be focused on social, environmental and sustainability, which means you get to finish the working week feeling you have made a real difference.

The agency has adopted an adult working environment, it has a reasonably flat structure and everyone is expected to contribute at a strategic level (even at a JAM/AM level) – it is a supportive and friendly culture, so you will be given the support you need to succeed. For the successful candidate agency’s structure will give you a great opportunity to develop, take on responsibility and feel empowered. With this in mind you will need to be the type of person who relishes taking on new challenges, isn’t fazed if asked to undertake work outside the traditional PR model e.g. video production, event organising… As we all know the PR remit has expanded outside of straightforward press office work and my client has embraced this, so are looking for people who are always looking to push the envelope in terms of the channels, creativity and logistics that they get their clients message out to its chosen audience.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to managing the communications for a number of nationally recognised business-to-business accounts across housing associations, construction, tech, energy, regeneration and environmental clients.

Candidates should have existing business-to-business PR agency experience and be able to demonstrate a track record in delivering and engaging with issue lead communications.

Experience in the likes of construction & the built environment, sustainability and housing/social housing would be desirable, and PR agency experience is essential.

The PR Account Manager role will involve a combination of:

• Supporting on day-to-day client activity
• Leading on selected accounts
• Developing campaigns
• Delivery of tactics
• Assisting with business development

Skills & experience required for the PR Account Manager role:

• Good understanding of various PR tactics and channels
• PR agency experience
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to contribute to ideas and the creative process
• Ability to work across multiple accounts
• Relevant experience of delivering across the communications mix, including media relations, social media and event support is also desired.
