As an Associate Director of Owned Media, your role will be to ensure that the highest level of thought and strategic insight is applied to all Owned activity. This should lead to the improvement of our Owned & Earned products; better performance for our clients and winning of new business.

You will also build a team of Owned Media Specialists by selecting candidates from current staff and recruiting high quality individuals in order to broaden our capabilities. With a clear head for commercial business you will support the Head of Owned & Earned Media with managing costs for the team and assist with future planning.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act as owner or strategic drive for the Owned Media product or on client planning.
• Develop our Owned Media product to help us stay at the forefront of the industry.
• Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge to the business through effective communication of current and future product challenges / successes
• Develop and manage the team, organising training and overseeing all PDP initiatives across the team.
• Work closely with the strategy & client service teams, using knowledge of the client, their business/brand, their consumers and the industry in which they operate, to deliver market leading strategies
• Own relationships (client / tech/ product).
• New business research and pitch document production, followed by pitching to potential new clients.
• Developing cross channel integration as part of the Planning process. Help clients and the team understand the full value of search and the impact that it has, other than in hitting a client’s KPIs.
• Keep a record of key successes to show the worth of the Planning function through the production of case studies and award wins.
• Consistent quality control.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in channel working at tier 1 clients / accounts
• Experience of in team management and / or mentoring and coaching others at all levels
• Preferably a previous head of department or “Head of SEO” at smaller agency
• Passionate about the internet and technology, with a keen interest in the development of SEO as a channel, keeping track of new developments within the industry
