We are seeking a digital Art Director who is capable of delivering to the highest level across a portfolio of international and national brands. Working in partnership with the Creative Director, you will share responsibility for concepts, definition and delivery of various digital experiences, from concepts to delivery. Working across a number of established accounts and new business opportunities, your role will be hugely influential in defining and driving the success of your team and the agency.

The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of digital design trends, interaction design and user experience. We want to feel your passion for technology, for current and emergent platforms, communication channels and connected devices.
As Art Director, you will be equal parts fantasist and realist. You can imagine the most far-fetched unreal things; but then you can also focus on questions of practicability, how to make those imagined things real. Your objective is to imagine, architect and execute digital experiences, where brand and human-user experiences combine, improving standards and leading the way in digital design delivery.
Through your familiarity of creating digital experiences, your workflow and skills demonstrate the importance of prototyping. You put pen on paper before moving your cursor, then – through cycles of review and iteration, increasing the fidelity of output – work a experience all the way through from sketches to the delivery of polished visual design and HTML, ready to hand over to final build.
As a creative leader, you will embrace the technology of today and tomorrow, evangelising beauty and crafting work that demonstrates expertise and design flair in typography, colour theory, composition and use of content. You will create beautiful and powerful brand experiences, maintaining and enhancing the high standards established over several years working in partnership with the client.
Your personality is as important as your creativity. You will be professional, assertive and extremely well organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate and multi-task under pressure. Outgoing, confident and an excellent communicator, you will demonstrate great leadership and team-working skills. You’ll need the strength of character to give and receive constructive critique on all projects.
Your work will play a significant role in the clients’ mix of marketing and communications. You will maintain a strong consistent core brand presence and support the various peaks of communication around product launches and events. To manage this role effectively you will maintain a strong voice and build positive relationships within the wider marketing and communication agency roster. You will also develop relationships with specialist suppliers within the wider creative and marketing industries. Therefore a working knowledge of video/audio production, 3D modelling/animation and through-the-line marketing will be a valuable advantage.
Your portfolio should demonstrate a track record of creative inspiration and delivery, showcasing original, standout, and award winning digital solutions. Your work will display superb attention to detail and a consistently high standard, produced both by yourself and by your leadership and management of a team.
