When you join us as an Account Manager you will play a crucial role in the next part of our journey. We’ve changed a lot; 40 years ago our customers flicked through a magazine to find their dream car, fast forward to today we are 100% digital and sit at the heart of the UK’s vehicle buying process. We receive 58.5 million cross platform visits a month, delivering over 250 million advert views to the 13,500 car dealerships that advertise with us.

As an Account Manager, your primary focus will be to help your customer base of circa 150 independent vehicle retailers compete effectively in the marketplace. Every one of your customers will be different; differences will range from their size (from 5 car forecourts to customers with over 100), to their product portfolio, to their business objectives. Another huge difference will be their understanding of digital marketing. Acting as an Account Manager you will educate your customers on best practice techniques and will influence digital change in the automotive industry. You will apply a consultative approach and will understand your customer’s objectives, challenges and future plans. Combining this knowledge with our real time insight tools and suite of innovative digital products you will deliver value to your customer base.

So, what do we believe makes an awesome Account Manager? We would love to see applications from individuals that have proven success in retaining and growing revenue across a diverse cross section of customers. This role plays a huge role in the digital transformation of our customers and the automotive industry, we therefore need you to be passionate about online marketing and driving return on investment to our retailers! As you will be responsible for your own customer base, you need to be ultra organised and will be able to prioritise effectively. We love data and believe that conversations with customers are better when data is used. You will need to share this passion and be able to demonstrate where you have used data to drive customer decisions in your current or previous role.

As you can expect with a role like this, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, negotiating and influencing skills, but we want that little bit more. We are really looking for people who are motivated by value-driven partnerships with customers. One thing you should also be comfortable with is working in a fast-paced environment. We do not believe in introducing a product just to increase revenue, it must be in the best interest of our customer’s business. To embed this way of working we have moved away from paying commission meaning that you will receive a generous basic salary of £30K to £40K.
