McCann Manchester is a leading, fully integrated marketing communications agency with a national and international client base and a unique campus environment in South Manchester. We provide a wide range of communication solutions for our clients, including Aldi, Harveys, Smyths, Cross Country Trains and Shire Pharmaceuticals.

Due to continued growth of our agency, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join our busy team.

On a day-to-day basis the key things you will be involved with will be

•Daily contact with clients, developing and maintaining a close and productive relationship with relevant contacts.

•Responding promptly to client requests, managing expectations in terms of speed and delivery of response, using appropriate briefing/admin structures.

•Working with Account Managers to ensure all jobs are scheduled on time and budget.

•Liaising directly with, and building strong working relations with internal agency departments (studio, production etc.), briefing in a seeing through jobs.

•Issuing and distribute regular ‘work in progress’ reports internally and externally.

•Issuing contact reports for key meetings and telephone conversations.

•Working with Account Managers to research and prepare background information for briefs/pitches/presentations.

•Developing an understanding of the client’s business.

What you’ll need

To be successful you’ll need some experience gained in an agency environment and a passion for – or ideally some experience of – digital communications.

Healthcare or Retail experience would also be an advantage but aren’t essential.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to prioritise a busy workload.

Excellent attention to detail, team working skills and the ability to work within a fast paced environment, towards tight deadlines are important too, as is a flexible attitude and approach.
