Our purpose is to celebrate, connect and inform the North’s creative and digital sectors. We do this through reputable editorial content and worthwhile attending events such as Digital City Festival, the Prolific North Champions Awards and other networking gatherings. 

About the role

We’re looking for a bright, proactive colleague with a keen interest / understanding of the creative and digital sectors in the North of England who can help us extend our partner network.

You will be primarily responsible for driving sponsorship and exhibition revenues for our biggest and most exciting event - Digital City Expo, part of Digital City Festival.

The role will involve generating new business from prospect companies who wish to be involved in Digital City Festival 2023. You should be a confident communicator capable of selling to and project managing multiple customers through to successful delivery.

You will be working as part of our sales team and report to the Managing Director.

As a Partnerships Manager at Prolific North you will… 

  • Drive revenues across our activities, with a primary focus on Digital City Festival 2023.
  • Nurture a strong continuous pipeline of prospects; this will be made up of incoming leads generated by our marketing efforts as well as developing new business through own researched / planned prospecting and attending key relevant events to develop business opportunities.
  • Use our CRM ( to help you keep track of your pipeline and report revenues.
  • Once partnerships are formed, work closely with the rest of the Prolific North team to delight our partners and exceed their expectations; good internal communication is a must to to support our Marketing / Operations team with any relevant information such as needs or expectations.
  • Maintain effective contact with prospects, partners and exhibitors to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Attend, help out and network at our live events.
  • Use your keen commercial flair to spot any growth opportunities.
  • Research and stay on top of our industry needs and competitor offerings, as well as react when appropriate.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if… 

  • You have previous experience in a B2B or B2C event sales role.
  • You’re ambitious to progress and are someone who takes ownership and responsibility over what you do.
  • You hold yourself to a high standard and take pride in producing high quality, thoughtful work. 
  • You’re confident speaking to external stakeholders, putting together written proposals, pitching ideas in meetings and giving your colleagues constructive feedback.
  • You’re organised and comfortable with change.
  • You’re super comfortable with digital work - you’ll be using a CRM on a daily basis as well as making use of basic IT skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, web research and database packages.
  • You’ll have a real competitive advantage if you are commercially aware and have knowledge of the creative, digital and tech sectors in the North.

Flexible location working.  After your induction, you’ll spend Mondays and Thursdays in our Northern Quarter office space. You’re free to work from wherever you like (including the office) the remaining three days of the week.
