Managing Director - Social Media
SMMS are moving into an exciting new phase. As one of the few specialist social media TV experts in the industry we’re looking for a dynamic, experienced MD to take us to the next phase.
After increasing our client base and sector-wide reputation we are now planning major growth and we need you to take that forward.
You will have experience in handling multiple client accounts, as we need an experienced social media communicator to help our TV clients on a daily basis.
Due to our MD becoming our Chief Executive, you will be the manager and client-facing MD who has the experience to negotiate with and pitch to senior TV executives - from Independents to the BBC, ITV, etc.
We can be flexible about the hours to a minimum of 30 hours p.w. (Paid pro-rata).
To retain the best MD for SMMS, the salary and benefits package will be regularly reviewed to reward company growth and client retention.
We’re looking for an imaginative Managing Director who can work with independent TV company clients promoting programs and the Indies themselves as businesses.
You will lead and plan SM output for our diverse portfolio of clients from children's programs, TV detectives, documentaries, art shows, costume drama, and more. We have a very capable SM manager with whom you will work closely.
From wildlife to drama, SMMS covers all genres of TV programs. We also work directly with the BBC, ITV, C5, Sky, and other major broadcasters to enhance their reach and engage their viewers.
You need to be able to manage our staff of 7, recruit new team members as we grow, create meticulous plans, deal directly with Executive Producers, understand how to create impactful Social Media posts for TV viewers.
Attention to detail and immaculate spelling are prerequisites. Knowledge of SM platforms and how they appeal to different viewer demographics is also necessary - especially Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat.
We use Sprout, Canva, Hootsuite, Basecamp, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other SM software.
You MUST HAVE at least 5+ years of experience in Marketing and at least 3+ in social media. You must be educated to degree level, with excellent English skills.
Because we work in TV the hours are flexible – the team works evenings and weekends to match the TV output of our clients - time off in lieu is given.
We are based in GREATER MANCHESTER, and you need to be able to work in our office from time to time, with remote working options available.
