Publicity Manager - Hollyoaks

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Publicity Manager to work on our ground-breaking drama Hollyoaks covering a period of maternity leave on a fixed term basis. 

This is an amazing chance to work alongside our passionate and driven Publicity and Digital team, reporting to the Senior Publicity Manager you will help devise and implement a communications strategy for the programme, its storylines and talent across multiple platforms.  You will need to be confident and resilient, being on the front line of media enquiries and regularly acting as the Hollyoaks spokesperson, sometimes dealing with contentious and sensitive issues.  

You’ll often be involved in press events and appearances alongside cast so you’ll need to be prepared for a busy schedule and some unsociable hours, although flexibility will be given in return.  A lot of your role will be out on set with cast so the ability to travel to our Liverpool site when needed is a must, although there will be opportunities to work remotely from home - particularly while we are still working differently due to the pandemic.

You will already be working as a Publicity Manager, or an experienced Publicist/ Account Manager looking for an opportunity to step up and gain experience in an exciting industry.  Ideally you will have worked within a broadcaster, television or film production environment or for an agency across entertainment brands and/ or directly with talent and you will have strong media contacts and good relationships with key press.  An awareness of the current media and TV landscape and a broad understanding of the industry and news agenda as well as experience of using or working on content for social media are a must.
