Sales and Marketing Executive

Prolific North is currently looking for a sales and marketing executive, to help support Digital City Festival’s next growth stage, one of the main ventures of Prolific North. You will be involved in developing sales strategies and developing inbound marketing activity, maintaining client relations, responding to customer inquiries and reporting on performance. 

To ensure success as a Sales and Marketing Executive, you would be a confident individual, comfortable working to targets, a passion for sales, and strong knowledge of marketing techniques. We’re looking for someone with creative flair who can hit the ground running, bring their own ideas to the table and execute them to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options
  • Support the Festival Director to ensure sales targets are met
  • Own, lead and deliver sales & marketing campaigns as required
  • Conduct market research on trends, conditions and competitors
  • Track effectiveness of marketing/sales campaigns and report findings
  • Manage inbound inquiries and respond quickly
  • Maintain a CRM database
  • Assist with event delivery where required

Education and Experience

  • Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred 
  • Experience in developing and running sales & marketing campaigns
  • Proven sales ability, with the drive and ambition to effectively pitch and close sales
  • Experience and knowledge about the digital, tech and marketing sectors in the UK preferred 

Key Competencies

  • The ability and desire to sell, review your own sales performance, aim to meet or exceed targets
  • Ability to research prospects and generate leads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques 
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Navigator, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and Excel
  • Experience using a CRM preferred
  • Great organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and sustain a high level of energy & concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident approach
  • Capacity/courage to challenge the status quo
  • Prospecting skills
