Cotton Traders completes 3 month 7-way creative agency pitch

Cotton Traders has named TBWA\MCR as its new creative agency, following a 3-month competitive pitch process, that started with 7 agencies.

TBWA\MCR has been hired to develop a brand campaign to “drive reappraisal of the brand” and attract a younger 55yrs+ audience.

“Team TBWA demonstrated a strong understanding of our brand and customer from the offset. When it came to the final pitch we couldn’t stop smiling! We are all excited and really looking forward to working together,” said Sue Cadle-Clark, Director of Brand & Creative, Cotton Traders.

The brand campaign will run across TV and social channels early next year.

“Cotton Traders were very clear at the start of the pitch process that they were looking for brand reappraisal and that they had an appetite to do something unexpected. That is exactly the kind of challenge we want in the agency. We’re looking forward to getting started,” said Fergus McCallum, CEO of TBWA\MCR.

Cotton Traders was founded by former England national rugby union team captains, Fran Cotton and Steve Smith in 1987.
