Creative Tourist and Modern Designers have responded to a competitive brief from Manchester Business Improvement District (BID) to produce a city guide.

With an early Christmas reference, the “stocking-sized” 104 page Where to Go Manchester guide explores the city’s arts, theatre, food and drink and music scene.

The guide is described as “a call-to-arms to Mancunians to continue to soak up all that the city has to offer; to spend a Sunday in a museum or to enjoy a fresh view from a canal-side park.”

The bespoke branding, design and illustration was done by Modern Designers, while photographers, Tom Cockram and Jan Chlebik took the shots of the city. Content was created by Creative Tourist’s team of writers.

The publication is available through Magma Books, Cornerhouse Books and The Lowry, it’s also been placed on the Waterstones Recommends shelf in the Manchester store.

BID, a consortia of city realisers and CityCo, is aiming to increase footfall to the city centre and encourage them to spend more money. It recently brought in Echo PR to lead its B2B and B2C campaigns.
