Havas PR handed Simply Be and Jacamo brief by JD Williams

Havas PR Manchester has been appointed by JD Williams to handle its store expansion programme for Simply Be and Jacamo.

The multi-channel retailer is planning to increase its 16-store portfolio for the two clothing brands to 25.

Ed Watson, director of global communications for JD Williams' owner N Brown Group, said: "Our aim is to have 25 stores across the UK, giving 85% of the population physical access to our Jacomo and Simply Be brands.

"The stores will work in conjunction with our online offerings and have a rich set of multi-channel capabilities, including Click & Collect, in-store kiosks and tablet-enabled support from our colleagues.

The account will be headed up by Havas PR MD, Brian Beech, who said: “We have an innovative store opening PR programme planned in each of the new locations to keep the brands’ momentum going ahead at full speed.”

Havas PR already works with retailers including Asda, Pets at Home, Greggs and Debenhams.
