Out There Events acquires Mix Media in London

Out There Events in Manchester has acquired London-based publishing and events firm, Mix Media Ltd, for an undisclosed sum.

The two companies have been strategic partners for more than 5 years, with Out There developing their events strategy.

“We are delighted with this acquisition, we have worked with the team at Mix for a number of years, we understand their customers and market well and believe our expertise will develop the brand and business even further,” said Out There Events’ managing director, Marcie Incarico.

“Being part of the Timpson Group has provided us with the resource and support to grow the business through strategic acquisitions and mergers. It’s a very exciting next chapter for the team.”

Mix Media produces trade magazine, Mix Interiors,  led by editor, Mick Jordan, and also puts on 2 industry awards ceremonies called Mixology. It’s also a founding partner and equity holder in interiors and furniture festival, Clerkenwell Design Week.

“Out There have been brilliant advisors and suppliers to us for many years and we are therefore delighted to be passing the business on to them with the confidence they will maintain the culture and style created at Mix Media whilst taking the team and the brand onto the next level,” added Jessica Jackson, director of Mix Media Ltd.

They are hoping the acquisition will enable Out There to develop Mix Media further, while building the company’s presence in London.

As part of the expansion, Catherine Craven has been named project director at Out There Events and Rebecca Bignell has become project executive.
