The Wensleydale Creamery has announced a 3-year sponsorship deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

It will mean that its logo will be displayed on the players’ kits in all forms of cricket and the company will have branding rights including a sponsor board at Headingley. For supporters and players, it means lots of cheese as it also gets merchandise rights and will be providing samples throughout the season.

“We are proud of our Yorkshire heritage and see our new partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club as a perfect fit for the brand. As a company with Yorkshire at our heart, we look forward to working with a great, Yorkshire sporting institution and its loyal fan base,” said David Hartley, managing director of The Wensleydale Creamery.

The deal will form the centre point of a major new marketing and PR campaign by the creamery.

“We are delighted to sign a partnership with a well-known, international brand that stands for Yorkshire authenticity and quality. We look forward to working with The Wensleydale Creamery team, in our historic 150th anniversary,” added Andy Dawson, commercial director at Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
