Liverpool FC has clinched a £25m deal for its first ever shirt sleeve sponsorship.

The five-year deal with money transfer service Western Union was announced this morning during a press conference at Anfield attended by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp and CEO Peter Moore.

It will also include digital and social media support, pitch side LED messaging, and branding across Anfield stadium, its fan lounge and the club’s media channels.

Liverpool's main jersey sponsor remains Standard Chartered.

Premier League clubs agreed to shirt sleeve sponsorship as of this season, and Liverpool join Stoke City and Southampton in making use of the new opportunity.

Liverpool managing director Billy Hogan said: “Western Union is an instantly recognisable brand with a truly global footprint and we are absolutely delighted to welcome them as our first ever shirt-sleeve sponsor and official principal partner.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Western Union through this partnership to create new experiences and opportunities for our fans both in the UK and abroad.”
