ResearchBods has developed a new app, which will passively track everything that you do on your mobile device.
Kamino enables researchers to observe real behaviour in a “non-staged” environment.
It was developed through the incubator programme, within the Leeds agency’s office and sits in the background so as not to alter behaviour. It can then be uninstalled at the end of a project.
According to ResearchBods, it will track websites visited and the time and duration of each stay; what apps are used and how often; average duration spent on each app and at what time; which category the app falls into; the number and duration of calls and texts made; the network provider; and GPS tracking for fine and coarse data location.
