Sky Bet has announced a recruitment drive that will see it add 90 new jobs at its headquarters in Leeds.

The jobs are available for immediate application and include roles in the technology, product development, marketing and customer service departments.

Founded in 2001, Sky Bet has grown rapidly during online betting boom and made pre-tax profits of £50m on revenues of £182m in the year to June.

It claims around 7% of the online gambling market and last month owner Sky sold a majority stake in the company to private equity group CVC Capital Partners in a deal worth up to £800m.

Richard Flint, managing director at Sky Betting and Gaming, said: “This is a really exciting time for Sky Bet and I’m really pleased to be able to confirm that we are continuing to invest in Yorkshire with the recruitment of 90 new team members as we continue to grow our business.

“Just last month we announced that Sky Betting and Gaming is to become an independent company in a deal which values the business at £800 million. The expansion of Sky Bet over the last year means we now need more people to join a number of our departments here in Leeds.

“We work hard to ensure that Sky Betting and Gaming remains one of the best places to work in Yorkshire and a massive factor in that is ensuring we have the right people.

“We’re looking for the very best individuals, which is often more about candidates having the right attitude and potential rather than solely focusing on experience.

“We do everything we can to provide the right environment that delivers job satisfaction, fulfilment and which also nurtures talent. We would love to hear from people who are energetic, analytical and passionate about building a career in an exciting digital business.”
