Manchester Twestival returns next week

The Manchester Twestival takes places next week, to raise money for local charity, The Wood Street Mission.

It’s part of a worldwide social media fundraising operation and the Manchester arm will bring together local artists, who’ll be creating live artwork, which will then be auctioned off.

There will also be a raffle, with prizes provided by local businesses.

“We’ve pulled together an event that Manchester can be proud of. With the hard work of our volunteer organisers and the generosity of our sponsors, we’ll be able to make a real difference to Wood Street Mission. Each £2 raised will sponsor a child for a month,” said Joanna Halton, social media strategist at McCann Manchester and organiser of Manchester Twestival.

“People jest about the rivalry between digital, creative and PR agencies in Manchester, but it’s a tribute to the cause, and the truly friendly community, how everyone has pulled together to make this happen. The event is the culmination of a lot of hard work from volunteers spanning a number of sectors, but special mentions go to Tom Mason (Delineo), Fay Schofield (Coffee Pot Digital), Laura Thomas (Return On Digital) and Jessica Wilkinson (Weber Shandwick).”

“The artists taking part are amazing and we’re lucky to have secured the best venue in the city to show off this incredible work.”

It will take place at 2022NQ on November 27th from 6.30pm.Tickets are available from £6.50, which includes a drink and 100% of ticket price goes to the charity.
