Cottage rental agency Sykes Cottages has appointed Epiphany to develop its earned media strategy and partner its internal team, acting as an expert search consultant.

The Leeds-based agency was invited to pitch after impressing at a first stage meeting and has now been tasked with growing the brand in the UK market and improving the visibility of the Sykes Cottages name.

Activity will include online PR and wider-reaching digital creative campaigns to increase media coverage and raise awareness of the Chester-headquartered company’s 4,000 holiday cottages across the UK and Ireland.

“Crucially their approach and ethos towards online marketing is unique, well thought through and effective. We’re genuinely excited to be working with Epiphany and we’re looking forward to achieving results together.”

Epiphany currently has 133 staff based in Leeds and is recruiting “across a number of roles”.

CEO Rob Shaw added: “Sykes Cottages have grown their business for the last 25 years through their focus on quality, customer service, providing value for money and partnership with their suppliers and cottage owners.

“We’re delighted to be working with them and I’m looking forward to helping them to realise their ambitious future growth plans”.

Epiphany has already won accounts with Sky Bet, Waterstones, Agent Provocateur and Virgin Holidays this year.
