A new standalone site has also been created for Downtown’s quarterly publication DQ Magazine – designed by Epic New Media – while CEO Frank McKenna’s business blog and Friday email newsletter have been revamped by Water Street Marketing Company and Fat Media respectively.

McKenna said: “It is easy to say ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. But in reality if you stand still for too long the world passes you by.

“Downtown is always looking at how it can be a driving force for members to stay ahead of economic developments and to work together to enjoy prosperity and growth.

“As we celebrate 10 successful years now was the right time to look again at our digital portfolio and freshen it up to improve our offering.”

Downtown, which now a membership of 500 firms, has recently taken on Mark Asquith from High Performance Consultancy as head of marketing and communications, while Lucy Cort has moved from the Compass Group to become head of sales.
