Pixie Lott will join Sunderland radio station Sun FM next month to celebrate 20 successful years of broadcasting to Wearside. 
The station is holding a free birthday bash in Keel Square on Sunday May 7th between 12 and 3pm. Lott has been confirmed as the headline act and will be performing live on the day.
Content Director Simon Grundy said: “After we bought ourselves a shiny new transmitter to make our FM signal more powerful, we then felt we really needed the listeners to be able to join in and celebrate our 20th birthday -hence the free bash!”
Managing Director Julian Carter added: ‘’Unlike other radio stations, we are based in our local area, and support the community through numerous initiatives such as Easter Egg & Christmas Toy Appeals.
“But we wanted to make sure our listeners could have a free birthday bash to remember. Being a big local radio station we are pleased to pull off such a big coup bringing Pixie Lott to Sunderland.”
