A Leeds film festival which celebrates young filmmakers aged under 25 is open for entries.

The Leeds Young Film Festival is now in its fourth year and its INDIs (Independent Directions Award) is a national award championing shorts in almost any genre – “fiction, documentary, animation, live action, horror, comedy, action, drama or anything in between.”

The films must be under 10 minutes in duration and have been made without any professional help or significant funding, in the last year.

Submissions are divided into age categories: up to 10; 11-14; 15-19; and 20-25.

The deadline for entry is 6th March.

The festival also runs the Golden Owl Awards which is aimed at under 19s, who have to come from Leeds. The closing date for this is 6th February.
