procamProcam Television, which has operations in London and Manchester, has undergone an MBO with the company stating it has plans to accelerate the company’s expansion, by launching as yet unnamed new facilities and services out of both London and Manchester in the coming months.

The MBO has been backed by private equity firm Foresight Group (Foresight) and the company’s bankers NatWest. Procam has also announced that the former CEO of Carlton Television, Clive Jones CBE, has been appointed as chairman.

Procam TV provides camera equipment and crew to broadcasters – including Sky, the BBC, and ITV – production companies and companies throughout the UK and internationally.

It has been trading for over 20 years.

The company says it has the largest stock of HD cameras in the UK and recently invested £500,000 in Sony’s new 4K cameras – the “largest single transaction of its kind in the broadcast hire industry” it is claimed.

Procam is head-quartered in Battersea, London. The company employs 70 staff of whom nine are based in the Manchester operation. Recent productions the company has been involved with are Made in Chelsea, ITV’s Splash, Watch’s The Incredible Mr Goodwin, BBC2’s The Great British Sewing Bee, Derren Brown and The Great British Bake Off.

The Manchester operation was recently involved with The Voice.
