More than 70 staff have moved into Global’s new Broadcast Centre in Manchester’s Spinningfields, headed up by Regional Managing Director Chris Jones (below).

There are three main studios within the Centre – including one for Heart and one for Capital – plus two news studios and a commercial production studio.

“We’re very excited with our brand new, state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre in the XYZ building in Spinningfields. Our new home is kitted out with three on-air studios, two news booths and a commercial production booth,” Chris Jones, Global’s regional managing director North told Prolific North.

“This enables us to provide the best programmes and the latest news to Manchester and the north west, as part of Global’s focus to deliver national brands locally. Our radio brands including Capital – Manchester’s no.1 hit music station – and Heart have a terrific new home and the whole team look forward to welcoming our clients and guests soon.”

Overbury, which has an office in Spring Gardens, fitted out the 16,500 square feet of commercial space, which also includes open plan offices, a reception area, break-out spaces, production rooms and a communications room.

Global already has regional centres in Birmingham and Newcastle.
